When Dead Boys drummer Johnny Blitz was attacked, knifed and left for dead in a street altercation, the whole punk community pitched in to help raise money for his hospital bills. Stars from Divine to John Belushi (on drums!) joined the Dead Boys to headline the benefit concert in May of '78. |
